Every night for thirteen years, I've been staring at these. They flank our dining room window. They also flanked our dining room window in our old house. These and my husband, that's what I see. I'm not bored with the husband, but these? I'm done.
Since I took the sconces down and filled in the holes when I painted, I decided to put up something new. I got a few wooden frames at the thrift store and painted them apple green. Cut out some pages from a butterfly book...and here we are.
I commissioned some botanical art for these frames (which means I asked my sister nicely if she'd draw me some flowers) so I'll change them out eventually.
I'm also severely editing what I had out on mantels and tables before I painted and slowly reassembling things.
