A few things going on around here:
-I've been at this parenting thing for ten years and four kids now and I still have no idea how to convince a two-year old that this:
is inappropriate headgear for a driving snowstorm. Then again, she is on her way to church and I agree with her that it's a shame ladies don't wear hats to church very often anymore.
-I'm auditioning for this. I can't give you a good reason why -- except I've decided I need to do more things that make me uncomfortable and last year I ran a marathon...so this seemed like a logical next step. Sort of.
-I'm helping our Brownie Troop sell cookies outside our local grocery store this weekend. Yesterday, it was sunny and we all wore T-shirts and no coats. Today we got 14 inches of snow. Oh, Colorado...I really, really love you but sometimes you make me crazy.
-I started knitting this skirt for my daughter. She's pretty excited that it's going to be bright blue:
-a few spring books on our bedtime reading list right now:
The Happy Day by Ruth Krauss
Rabbit's Winter Walk by Lorna Hussey

That's a cute skirt! You should try the Mickey Skirt http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hey-mickey, it's pretty quick & easy.
ReplyDeleteoooh -- that is cute! I'm gonna have to add it to my queue...although after this skirt, she has to wait her turn while I knit everyone else something again. I have to go in order or people get indignant...
DeleteThank you for sharing your two book recommendations in the Kid Lit Blog Hop. You HAVE to let us know what happens with you audition! Good luck! :)
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your daughter :) I'm seeing her as a fashion icon by age 12! Thanks for linking into the Kid Lit Blog Hop. I've heard about the Rabbit book before. Thanks for the reminder to put it on our library list!
