Sweaters for Brothers

I have been promising my oldest...my firstborn...my heir...a sweater -- for at least three years now. In my defense, I did knit him one last summer. But I screwed up the sizing so badly that it could have fit me. Actually, it did fit me, but it made me look totally fat and was promptly relegated to the yarn scrap pile and he has been waiting patiently ever since.

Until Monday, when I finally finished this placket-neck sweater for him. I really like the way it turned out. He and his brother both have one, in similar but not exactly matching colors.

Side note: it is almost impossible to take non-blurry pictures of two boys. They. Do. Not. Stand. Still. Ever. And the one time they did, they were photo-bombed by a toddler.

OK, I guess this one's not blurry, either.

I love this sweater. Seed stitch border. Raglan sleeves. Wood buttons. Classic.

My ravelry notes are here, if you want more information.

Thank you for visiting Peace but Not Quiet!

  2. They are so handsome! (I was going to say cute, but I wonder if Timothy is too old now to appreciate being called that...) Great job on the sweaters, Laura!!
